Highlighting the success of Irish Dancing

In the next couple of weeks I will be posting video's, pictures, results and interviews with some of the World Champions across the Globe. Hammerstep! A New York Tapper who has danced beside the likes of Savion Glover, the crew features some of the best dancers in the industry. Attention dancers, this is definitely worth checking out, in London there is a dance showcase being held on the 29th May at the Pleasance Theatre in Islington. Boasting champions of almost every Irish dancing title you can think of, former lead dancers of Riverdance, Headlining will be Hammerstep, a group of dancers attempting to break the preconceptions of Irish dance by fusing it with other forms including Tap , Hip Hop, popular culture and comedy to bring about a new form unseen before. This new crew features some of the best dancers in the industry, boasting champions of every Irish dancing title you can think of, Jason Oremus Chris Naish, Joe Moriarty and Parker Hall have been on the road with Riverdance over the last few years and have taken the initiative to bring about a new chapter of Irish dance now that the likes of Riverdance and others are on their farewell tours. Jason and Joe have both been lead dancers in Riverdance for several years as Chris and Parker, touring pros, with Lord of the Dance, Teaming up with local London Irish and Hip Hop talent, to showcase their new show. Hammerstep, providing a fresh take on Irish dancing, combine modern music, and fresh choreography through this dance-fusion, tricky moves and cross rhythms together with cool lighting methods, providing a fresh take on Irish dancing that will engage the audience and leave them gasping for more. Iceland Eyjafjallajokull Volcano photos...AMAZING!

Hi Guys,


I'm back............  I have so much to share with you within the Dancing and Cultural World and I'm very excited to be back.  It's unbelievable what has happened in the last few weeks with the Volcano in Iceland, I was so glad to be back from Scotland before this happened.  


The dancing world and the competitions have and are still affected by this natural disaster, the cloud and ash is still causing concern, delaying and preventing flights. 




I wanted to share some amazing pictures that was sent to me, hope you enjoy, it makes us all realize we should never take anything for granted.  Enjoy each day, and treasure all that life has to offer.

Kruise for Kids to Benefit Project Children

Myself and my husband have been involved with Project Children for many years, We host children from Northern Ireland for the summer. The rewards on both sides are unbelievably rewarding. This extension of family on both sides of the world makes our lives more full-filling. We are also involved with the intern program that brings out young college students from Queens University, Belfast. The Interns travel down to New Orleans to help build a house with Habitat For Humanity and after 10 days of hard work, they are placed with companies throughout the country to work as interns in their field of study. Some of the children are dancers and have the opportunity to compete and see what the lifestyles of American dancers and competitions are like compared to back in their home towns. As some of you know, Gerard came out to us when he was 9 years old on Project Children. We took him and several other children out year after year. He was the only one of the group that danced, and can he dance........................ Five time World Champion. He is a certified Irish Dancing Teacher and he just opened his school in Belfast and Birmingham, England.

This is a great cause, so try to come out and enjoy the Kruse For Kids
